Frequently asked questions

What does my course payment for a CCW cover? Are there additional costs to pay?

Unlike the business model primarily used in the industry, and due to the nature of Kanga Training’s clients, we offer an all in service. You simply pay one fee, sit back and enjoy the experience.

The course payment includes a genuine multi-state qualification. This means, no selling you that simply taking the Nevada CCW will give you “multi-state” coverage! This is playing with the truth. Those stating this should really be stating we do the Nevada CCW only, and, as a result, you gain repository with other states! If an instructor is bending the truth at this point, should you be gambling with a qualification to defend the lives of you and your family?

Instead of being the truth, Kanga Training instructors are qualified as instructors in several states. This means that we offer our all-inclusive package, which includes a full, genuine qualification in more than one state. You simply submit the paperwork to that state’s DPS or related issuing authority. This ensures that you gain the ability to carry in the maximum number of states nationally.

To ensure our course is stress free and inclusive, all range fees, ammunition, use of firearms, paperwork submission packets, range instruction, and any other cost are all paid for in our one inclusive fee. There is no need to bring anything than a sense of humor, and desire to gain the most from the experience that you can! In addition, you receive a course certificate which is good to submit in additional states for their state CCW, a post course email with an easy to follow list to submit your course packet in several states, and we stay with you through the entire process.

Do I need any experience with firearms to undertake a course or CCW?

While it is generally recommended, what is more important is your attitude to learning, and safety.

You are required to fire 30 rounds accurately, of a possible 50. The course of fire is between 9 and 21 feet. Kanga Training has a variety of .22 pistols (limited noise, recoil) to undertake this. During the course, or CCW, you receive training and advice to undertake the 30 rounds to conclude your qualification.

Kanga Training always has 2 instructors present at the range, so you are fully supported with advice on the range in order that you qualify. We have only had 1% or less of clients fail to quality on the first attempt.

Do I need to own or bring a firearm to class?

The short answer is no! All you do is bring your sense of humor! Kanga Training runs all inclusive training and CCW's. This means you simply turn up, pay the fee and everything you could need is provided. In fact, we provide resources far beyond mandated state minimums, including client access to a site where past clients can download material from the classroom, advice on state gun laws, videos on gun laws, gun maintenance tips and much more.

Can I bring my own firearm?

The short answer is yes! You can bring any pistol you wish to qualify with to any CCW class. We carry most ammunition, but best to check first. You are welcome to bring your own full metal jacket ammunition suitable for qualifying.

Please note that there are no loaded firearms in classrooms/venues, so we ask for you to declare any firearm on arrival. This is critical, as recently there was a negligent discharge in a Las Vegas classroom, due to professional and personal neglect. This could have cost a life. Therefore we wish to keep our 100% safety record, professional reputation, and preserve your life!

Refund Policy.

If you make a payment for a class, and you cannot make the class, we will rebook you up to two additional times. If you do not show for a class, without notice or rebooking, or don’t show after rebooking, we will refund you minus a $50 booking fee. The booking fee covers our costs, as we have range fees regardless of a booking showing on the day, and other associated fees.

Can I get my CCW permit renewed during a regular CCW class?

Yes. Call us! You simply attend the last four hours of our normal day, or book a separate 4 hour slot with us. We are one of the few who have an actual separate renewal course!
